. I know she still thinks about the "what if's" regarding that child. Do you think it is any less painful for her had she given the child up for adoption? I don't, fwiw. My sense is that an early term abortion is one thing, but carrying a child around for a year to give the baby up for adoption is emotionally gut-wrenching. But I've never had children so I don't know for sure.

Edwarda, add me to that list Ditto, I suspect that there are many like this and just do not bring it up because it is not done for self glorification . One lady that stayed with us actually had three coaches. Me, my wife and another of our friends were all wandering in and out of the birth room as she was in labor. After about 9 hours, the doc ran us all out and did a C-section as they felt the baby(and mom) were really getting stressed. Thanks for the post Neenny! dan

Well, it's nice to know that there are more of us willing to put our lives on the line rather than talk. I certainly have not removed my bookmark on you! (smiles) BTW, feeling as strongly as I do, still I accompanied a friend who was having an abortion and cared for her afterward. My then husband thought I was crazy, but as I said to him, "Even if she had just murdered someone or robbed a bank or whatever, she would still be my friend and need a friend's support. I can't change her mind, but I am her friend."
