CB, it is fancy WS accounting. They all due it, so Mexico buys the gold at market prices and pays back at market prices it is an accounting gimmick to mark to market, and I think it has to do with IMF charter.

For children I would ask, have you read the story of the Danish King without clothes?

The bottom line is "value" is in the eye of the beholder <G> as are many balance sheets and budget surpluses in this country.

Is like buying a home with 80% mortgage and not paying the mortgage back. Oh Gee lets make it somewhat legal and pay some interest spread I mean.

As I am writing this please remember!! I did not inhale and did not have sex with that woman ...

Coby, the story blew me off. I am no bean-counter but to me this thing smells too fishy. The bottom line, which they are trying to hide for some time, appears to be that IMF is now an insolvant agency. They are trying everything in their arsenal to shore-up the balance sheet or increase cash. Heck, they should float an internut company (ShortGold.Com) and take it public via Goldy. I am sure it will be an instant hit. -g-
