For the person who has held INTC for many years, this strategy simply makes no sense, unless there was NO DOUBDT that INTC would fall 20%+. And just because "the market" sells off, does not in any way that INTC will do so in a similar percentage. In fact the opposite is quite likely to be true since INTC is a Blue Chip with good visibility going forward. If they were to sell, the cap gains would be horrendous. They would need a fall of 20%+ to just get what they had before they sold. If you are that prescient in terms of market timing, please post what the market will do tomorrow, next week and next year. I am all ears.
