Charles, on your 5-6Mu K6s in Q3, since there were 2.3Mu in inventory as of July, 5-6Mu would require about half the wafer starts of Q2 (6Mu produced, 3.7Mu sold). In fact, even if we assume the 350 MHz and lower units were buried, AMD could sell 6Mu of K6s without breaking a sweat in 2/3 the fab space. Judging by the way K6 ASP's have crumbled and yet Socket 7 motherboard production is still growing, it appears AMD decided to sell at least 5-6 Mu in Q3.
