Telco plans second shift for Indica production (Wednesday, September 8, 1999) tata.com Avertino Miranda in Pune (bs) Telco plans to go for a second shift to produce its Indica small car in October as it has crossed the peak level of production in a single shift. "We have extended our first shift to meet the higher levels of production and are working on a second shift for body and engine segments only," R Chakraborty, senior deputy general manager materials and special quality -- passenger car of Telco said. However, the extension of the second shift to the assembly line will take place only next month when the level of production is expected to cross 5,000 cars a month......
