jon, top notch software programmers don't typically influence markets

your observation of volatility is accurate

i'm not sure that the rest of the market will do nothing, so holding, or rather stating you are holding long term may be an injustice to momo players who go one way, up....maybe that would be mo player ;)

rhat is a services company jon, period and while the stock price may never justify the revenue generation potential it may not have to
on the other hand if, and most probably when, it sinks, the same folks who chided shorts now and at the IPO open will either say, i sold at the top or why did i mortgage the house :)

the winners in the game are the MM's and VC's, a small percentage of longs and shorts will do well, the rest will pay the considerable freight

take care,
ynot ;)

Jon, don't kid yourself, buy and hold this stock is setting up for holding a bag. RHAT is a service/consulting firm, it's worth a small fraction of the current $7 B market cap It does not own anything proprietary. If/when Linux becomes more popular, there will be tens of RedHats out there.

Very soon, I'll be shorting RHAT.

Regards,

Tom

My number one hobby is shorting overvalued stocks but RHAT has such a tremendous potential, I will only buy and hold.

Jon, I see were on different sides of the fence again. You short FFIV and go long RHAT? Ha!

If I can get shares, I plan on shorting RHAT at the open, hopefully on a nice gap up!

7.2 Billion dollar market cap cannot be justified.

See ya in the 80's...
