Pluvia -

Don't know where you got the "10-15% of the Linux market belongs to Linux" figure, but that aint even close to being true in the US.

I'll have to cede that one - Linux has at least 100% of the Linux market in the US.

Just in case that's not what you meant to say, here are some links to market studies on Linux.

Linux shows 25% annual growth rate
zdnet.com
"IDC recently reported Linux garnering 17% of the server OS market in 1998 with growth for the year of 212 percent."

Linux boosts server OS market
news.com
"In operating system growth, Linux shipments leapt 212.5 percent from 1997 to 1998, a major component of the 25 percent overall server operating system growth. With Linux taken out of the equation, the server operating system market would have grown only 11 percent, IDC said."

Sorry to burst your bubble...

Look, information is useful. Blustering about "crappy companies ready for a fall" is useless. Do I think RHAT is overvalued? Yes, probably. Do I think that calling it "RAT" has any value on this board? Not at all.

Our guys in the biz say they know of no one that uses Linux except guys that would never pay for software anyway. Tiny hacker outfits that never pay for nutt'n...

LOL...

Who is your guy. Someone you gets paid rebooting DOS machines?

Cisco runs their entire print server system off LINUX.

Not to mention the World. Those MSFT shares are affecting your mind.
