I'd say that mutual funds have started buying, the volume lately has been big. And we undoubtedly have drawn the attention of some momentum players, which I don't think is a good thing.

For me this is a long term bet on a medical revolution. The stock will continue to be news and sales driven. And I'd expect some sharp pullbacks in any market correction. If you choose to buy, just hold on and enjoy the ride. It should be a big field and I'd expect some of the rival technologies to do just as well.

... not a lot of traders in it. Is it possible that this is owned mostly by Biology PhDs, who believe in the stock; buy and hold it because they are too busy to trade? or to worry about intraweek price fluctuations?"

Yep.
