Shaking my head over the motherboard situation (again). Most vendors NOW on pricewatch are pushing them (FIC and Gigabyte) out to mid to late September. All I want to know is where in hello were these mobomakers back in the spring? Did every one need to see the Athlon in quantity first? Jeeezzz. Apparently my quantity availability for Athlon systems in November was not so far off after all.
No wonder Intel makes it's own motherboards and chipsets. It appears that Taiwan mobomakers have really sat on their hands. Only MSI boards seem to be available in any quantity and from what I hear many of them are reworked boards, the $8 cost shared by MSI and AMD.
Does anyone know what mobo IBM is using in the Athlon Aptiva?
