PB - RE:

"Do you believe that AMD has some magic scaling apparatus that will just blow away Intel's MHz ramp?"

Yeah. I think they have one of those magic rugs which will allow them to scale to the top of Mt. Everest. From there, they can run their chips at 2GHz because it is so cold.

"PB name on it."

Can I add jelly?

"That's the best I can do, until the future unfolds."

Well, with Intel 733 this year pretty much guaranteed, the rest of this year should be fun. Remember what we said earlier? Fun. You're uptight these days. Sit back and wait til Oct./Nov. when you may be able to re-gain the MHz crown.

PB, <Do you believe that AMD has some magic scaling apparatus that will just blow away Intel's MHz ramp?>
To some extent yes. This "magic apparatus" is
called "the [micro]architecture thingy".
Your reference to "450MHz G4" clearly shows
that your professional opinion is relevant
to only 1/3 of the "MHz equation"
- to your device/process parameters.

(Sorry for so many "youselessizms")
