Tappit increases production from acquisitions

Tappit Resources Ltd. has made production acquisitions from several
partners, which increased the company's holdings in its core areas of
southeast Saskatchewan. These properties, purchased at a cost of $330,000,
are producing 50 barrels of oil a day, bringing Tappit's current production
to 1,270 b/d.
Tappit's 12-well fall drilling program is under way. The second well in the
program, a horizontal well at Tatagwa (Tappit, 36-per-cent interest) began
drilling Sept. 13. The well will require an estimated 10 days to drill.
Tappit has two gas wells in Alberta awaiting production permitting and
tie-ins. The wells are expected to produce a total of 100 barrels of oil
equivalent per day.

Tappit Resources proposes to issue to insiders, non-arm's-length and arm's-length subscribers in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba up to 3,825,000 common shares on a flow-through basis by way of private placement at a price of 40 cents per common share for proceeds of up to $1.53-million.
Tappit is seeking protection of the issuance price from the Alberta Stock Exchange and will file an application within 14 calendar days of this press release. The issuance price for the private placement was determined by Tappit in accordance with the minimum pricing requirements of the ASE. No investment dealer, broker or agent will participate in this private placement.
