Compaq Forms Alliance with Crucial Technology to Supply Industry-Leading System Memory; Crucial to Offer 15% Off Coupon for Memory Upgrades on all Compaq Presario Desktops HOUSTON, Sep 8, 1999 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE: CPQ) today announced that it has formed an alliance with Crucial Technology, a division of Micron Technology (NYSE: MU) to supply standard system memory for Compaq's Presario 5300 Series and provide a 15% off coupon for memory upgrades on all Presario Desktop Internet PCs.
