I look at it this way DD, the CB's have loads more money in paper in the stock markets then in gold bars. Reams more. So if selling a little gold (and Searle is right--the sales don't amount to that much compared to the whole of the industry) can be used to keep the price in check and not unduly alarm the stock markets where they have the much bigger stake, then I see no reason why not do it. --Al
