This is a tough issue for which there is not an easy answer. Banning all abortions is just as extreme as insisting there be abortion on demand for little or no reason.

I basically agree with you here, but I am not comfortable with the idea that the acceptability of abortion on demand can be realistically evaluated according to the reason for the demand. Who is going to assess the demands, and decide what is acceptable and what is not?

It is a very tough issue with no good solutions; my own preference would be to allow abortion on demand in the first trimester, possibly later under specific circumstances. I am not comfortable with this, but I am less uncomfortable with it than I am with any of the other options I've reviewed.
