Research Frontiers CEO Robert Saxe Talks to The
Wall Street Transcript

NEW YORK, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The Wall Street Transcript has published an in-depth interview with Robert L. Saxe,
President and CEO of Research Frontiers Incorporated (Nasdaq: REFR - news), in which he talks at length about his
company's future. The interview is available free online at twst.com

He states, ``We are what you might call a pure play with respect to products for the control of light. We don't intend to become
a manufacturer. What we are doing is licensing our patents, patent applications and technical information to some of the world's
major corporations who will be manufacturing and marketing products for the control of light using our technology. We refer to
the technology as SPD. It stands for Suspended Particle Device technology. As far as SPD devices are concerned, we are the
world's technological leader with over 350 patents and patent applications worldwide.'

He explains, ``We have already licensed four companies for making films with our technology. These four companies are the
General Electric Company, Hankuk Glass Industries, Inc., which is the largest glass company in Korea, Hitachi Chemical Co.,
Ltd. and Material Sciences Corporation. These companies are licensed to manufacture and sell SPD films to authorized users,
other licensees of RFI who will then incorporate these films into final products such as smart windows. A smart window would
be a window whose light transmission would be electrically controllable with a voltage.'

Looking forward, he states, ``One thing that the investing public could do is to have a look at our website, which can be found
at refr-spd.com. I think that people under-estimate the potential for light control products. In my opinion, this will
be a truly major market in the world.'
