No, that would mean enacting a poison pill which is different than what was talked about in their latest notice. scheme to prevent JDSU from being bought by another company (Cisco maybe?)

TP, I don't understand why folks are trying to read this request for more authorized shares as anything more than a normal course of events. I am sure that there are many competing ideas for using these shares, including splits, employee options, acquisitions. But there is no indication that anything dramatic has been decided. TigerPaw, how did you get the impression that JDSU is working on a scheme to prevent a takeover? Why would CSCO be interested in JDSU? I think folks should relax and start looking for real news instead of what appears to be unfounded speculation. BWDIK?
