<<Personally, I don't know anyone (outside of previously stated category) who objects to homosexuality as a natural act of love or a genetic trait who also commits acts of violence toward gays>>

Gee why didnt I think of this? I dont personally know anyone that commits acts of violence against gays either!!! I guess the problem does not exist. I dont know any murderers or rapists either - so where is the problem?

The problem as I see it is that the right wing conservative leadership (this includes religious leaders) condones the violence by not standing up and condemning such violence. The republicans overwhelming voted against hate crime legislation. This sends the message that hate crime is ok for the thugs to commit. So the point I am trying to make is that conservative leadership can help reduce violence against gays by making statements that condemn such acts as well as enacting legislation that makes the same statement.
