PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 8, 1999--Echelon Corporation (Nasdaq:ELON - news) today announced that Robba Benjamin, Vice President

Ms. Benjamin joins previously announced keynote speakers Francesco Caio, Chief Executive Officer of home appliance manufacturer Merloni Elettrodomestici and

With an anticipated 150 exhibitors and 3,000 attendees, LonWorld99 is the world's largest conference and exhibition focused on the networking of everyday

Ms. Benjamin's speech, The Personal Network - How It Will Change Your Life, will present Cisco's vision of the Internet's impact at its full extension into everyday
life. ''The Internet is changing nearly every aspect of how people live,'' said Ms. Benjamin. ''Together, Cisco and Echelon are harnessing the power of the Internet

author of Better Than Being There?, an exploration of the development of community using digital networked technologies.

In the other keynote addresses, Mr. Caio will speak on Net-Washing and e-Cooking, focusing on the cost savings and new revenue opportunities created by

People should not take their eye off LIOX. Very risky to sell and come back later on this one. It moves quick and only the shortsighted don't see the future potential of its stock price.
