The only guess that I have is that people were surprised by the inventory problem last quarter, and, in addition to "newness" of the stock as an independent entity, are in a "show-me" mode. Even though MB said that everything publicly that everything is tracking according to their expectations, SDLT remains on track for delivery in winter 00, and the inventory "situation" has cleared up, there is no hurry to buy. After all, it isn't "dss.com", it's a boring business, and the competition, anxious to get into this boring business, has been spreading a lot of rumors about how there is no way that DSS can make this transition successfully (DLT technology is at the end of the rope, Mammouth will blow it away, LTO will blow it away, AIT will blow it away, blah blah blah, pick your rumor). I find the whole thing mildly absurd.
