Very true,

But, it is human nature to weasel out of things, and this is why we are always changing definitions.

The chivalric code got cumbersome, and technically lost the American Revolution for the Red Coats. The British were too honorable to lie down and fire their guns, but the cowardly American's kept ambushing them from the woods.

Now, it is honorable to kill the enemy with as few casualties on our side as possible. (or the enemies side is seems recently.)

And before chivialry, the Romans had no problem poisoning wells, burning fields and towns.... Wait a sec, they did that during feudal times too.

I guess it's true, there is no honor in war.

Hear me now, oh thou bleak and unbearable world,
Thou art base and debauched as can be,
But a knight with his banner all bravely unfurled
Now hurls down his gaunlet to thee!...........
