Benkea it is all relative if you were in your 30's in 1929 and saved for your retirement <G> well how that compares to cash??

It is about time that people realize that the whole issue of investing for the long term is a relative mirage compared with 6 months CD's.

Yes buying in 1982/3 would give a great buying opportunity but what would say those who bought in the late 60's compared to CD's which earned over 10% in the early 80's.

It is all relative and prone to timing.
