GraphOn Corp. Unveils jBridge at iForum '99: Software Web-Enables Any 32-Bit Windows Application Instantly

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 8, 1999--This week, GraphOn Corp. (Nasdaq:GOJO)
(www.graphon.com) will demonstrate to Application Service Providers (ASPs) and
Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) how they can speed delivery of their applications to
the market by using jBridge to web-enable their 32-bit Windows(R) applications.
GraphOn will debut the OEM version of its server-based software, codename jBridge, at
Citrix iForum '99, an IT conference focusing on server-based computing and the new ASP
(rent-an-app) model in Orlando, Sept. 7-10, 1999.
jBridge provides a thin client solution for web-enabling 32-bit Windows applications
without changing a line of code and without the need for an HTML (Hypertext Markup
Language) or XML (Extended Markup Language) front end. jBridge, is currently in beta and
scheduled for public release later in 1999.
"With the addition of jBridge, GraphOn is now the only provider of a comprehensive
suite of server-based solutions that link UNIX(R), Linux(R) and 32-bit Windows
server-based applications to any client running any platform over any connection," said
Robin Ford, GraphOn executive vice president, Sales and Marketing.
"GraphOn sales and technology teams provide complete support to assist any ASP, ISV or
IT manager in using GraphOn products to remote business-critical applications to
customers or employees over thin bandwidth or the Web quickly and easily."
In December 1998, GraphOn acquired the jBridge technology and development team and
facilities from Corel Corp. in an exchange of technology for stock, giving Corel
approximately a 20 percent stake in GraphOn. Earlier this year, GraphOn unveiled the
GraphOn Playpen, playpen.graphon.com, a site featuring Corel WordPerfect for Linux.
By visiting the Playpen, anyone with a Java-enabled browser can access and use
WordPerfect and other Linux applications instantly inside the browser. Each application
appears to run on the user's desktop with full performance, features and with the
intended user interface when, in reality, it is running on the playpen.graphon.com server
on Red Hat Linux.
GraphOn software helps enterprises lower their total cost of ownership (TCO) by
providing remote use of full-featured Linux, UNIX and Windows applications over network,
dial-up and Internet connections using the simplest PCs and Java-enabled browsers and
devices.
GraphOn software also provides vital Internet and network connectivity for
server-based applications rented by ASPs (Application Service Providers). The rent-an-app
model opens new markets for customers to rent, rather than purchase applications.
Server-based UNIX and Linux applications can be accessed from Windows PCs via
GraphOn's GO-Global(TM), from Java devices and browsers over the Internet via GO-Joe(TM)
and from multi-user NT (such as Microsoft Terminal Server and Citrix WinFrame) via
GO-Between(TM).
GraphOn's jBridge technology enables deployment of 32-bit Windows applications over
the Internet and is scheduled for release in late 1999. Fully functional demos of
GraphOn's thin, server-based software connectivity products are available from the
company's web site at graphon.com and for a real-time demonstration of GraphOn
technology go to playpen.graphon.com.
GraphOn is headquartered in Campbell, Calif. and has offices in Seattle and Concord,
N.H.
