The origins of America's homosexuality taboo come from the truely traditional Christian culture. I'm not talking Catholics in the 1800's here, but the "Hard Right" religions of the early industrial era, the Puritans. Huh????? I think your sense of history is very off. Try reading the Hebrew Bible for starters -- written hundreds of years before Christ was born and based on oral traditions from long before that. And written thousands before the Puritans.
