Well said, sir. You say the idea of honor has to do with one's internal moral compass and is a sweeping concept used to denote that a person has a trustworthy set of principles. Those were the words I was groping for. Thank you for articulating that. Compassion is part of one's nature if one is honorable. At the same time, one may exhibit compassion on occasion but be a dishonorable person. The 9th commandment from the 10 commandments of the code of Chivalry: Thou shalt be generous, and give largesse to everyone. Edit: It just occurred to me I was responding to someone named Lather.Rinse.Repeat. I should have said, "Well said."
