Election Fever on the Net-Indian Politcal Parties on the Net

Voting on the Internet will take a long time to come to fruition, but campaigning on the Web is in full swing..

Parliamentary elections in India are a very colourful festival. You could compare it to Diwali or Holi except that you don't have to wait a whole year to celebrate elections. Come September and Indians will head for the election booths in droves once again.

Our politicians and their planners are a restless lot. There is so much enthusiasm and creative effort injected into the election process. Every election campaign is known to bring a new revolution with it. The nineties have particularly seen many elections and many parties, each with its own USP. In an effort to stay ahead of the times, campaigning for Election '99 has now got onto the most happening medium - the Internet.....
