If they converted to hold, yes, it would signal a positive outlook on their part.

mooter, if CC converts, whether to hold or to deliver shares against "presumably" their short position, it will indicate first that the pressure from the death spiral is over (and thus a recovery like we saw in ANCR or GATE post conversion should be expected) and second, that VLNC's prospects are brightening markedly, IMHO. If someone is following the share count with the TA, we could easily note when such a conversion occurs.
