You performance comparison happens to approximate the timing of Ala's earnings warning debacle. Check the chart for last last one year period. The stock's 52-week high is in excess of 37. Is the stock up 61% since your 1998 posting, yes it is. However, Ala is no where near it's 52 week high, and is not even close to its stock price prior to the earnings warning. If your purchase of Ala coincided with the low last fall, you must look like a wizard. I happen to be part of the old DSC crowd, and there is very little reason to be cheerful, except that I will have more shares after the lawsuits are ultimately settled.
