If you were not blind yourself, then you would realize that the outfit that is replacing the Congress is no better, save for its moral postures. It might take a decade before the message gets to you (I know I am being overly optimistic here! <g>)

Anyway, here's more news about yet another day in paradise! ;-)

Power woes trigger rioting
New Delhi, September 8 (HT Correspondent)

WIDESPREAD POWER cuts over the last several days have left thousands of Delhiites wringing their
hands in despair.

The more desperate of the lot - Seemapuri residents, for example - took to the streets to register their
protest. Around 10 pm yesterday, the police said, traffic in Seemapuri was disrupted by a mob of
stone-throwing residents. Several policemen, including the Additional Station House Officer, were
injured. The police fired flares to illuminate the pitch dark area. This sparked rumours that the police had
fired at the protesters. Six men and a woman were arrested and charged with rioting.

Naveen Shahadara, Preet Vihar, Khichripur, Kalyanpuri, New Seelampur, Najafgarh,, Samaipur Badli,
Mayur Vihar Phase-I, Lajpat Nagar, Niti Bagh, Gulmohar Park, South Extension I and II, Karol Bagh,
Prasad Nagar were among the areas that had power cuts for hours on end.
