My only point was that any organization that acts as a dealer (not only a broker) can mark up stock. The discounters and not the only guilty parties. I use Waterhouse, and I have never received/paid worse that the bid/ask quoted. I have even compared quotes with others to insure they were correct. So far, I have been unable to find a discrepancy nor have I ever felt I paid too much. (Well, maybe awhile after the fact.) Regards Bill
