One issue I have with this debate is that I feel some want to give a fetus more human rights than an adult has, at the expense of the birth mother. My mom would have died to save me, how about yours? dan

Edwarda, I know that you don't know me. But I have been reading your posts and I appreciate your efforts explain and mediate. You have more patience than I do. I am a mother of 2 adult children and in my youth I had an abortion. So I feel that I can see this issue from many different perspectives. I have made peace with myself and my God and carried on with my life. I know that this is a very sensitive subject and one swipe of a pen cannot make it right or wrong. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that I respect your sensitivity on this subject. C Kahn
