the BofE's rate is at around 3%. so they raise it 1/4. that makes it 3 1/4. all the money market market making dell hating compaq loving folks are going to run to England and buy English bonds. (not that anyone disagrees with your assessment; it's just another excuse for the market to cut it's dress shorter to attrack more male stock timers)

TigerPaw, whatever the cause, the Dow ended up 2.21 and the Nas down 28.52. Some tech profit taking is going on. Sure would hate to see Dell drop much further. Would like to see 50+ this week. But, with the interest rate back drop and the CPI coming out Friday, I don't think we will see this happen.
