TL,

At the meeting in NY, Pete said that AOL would be 2nd on his wish list after Yahoo. I would imagine that AOL will in fact be sometime in the very near future. What I am hoping for is a place on the top of the AOL screen indicating incoming bills...the old "you've got bills".

Regards,

Rob

>>The two settled their differences recently, notes Avivah Litan, research director with Gartner Group. In an upcoming arrangement, Intuit is to present bills on America OnLine, subcontracting CheckFree to process the payments associated with those bills.<<

Lovely piece of detective work. This is a logical explanation for the silence surrounding the settlement and is great news for CKFR's stock price. Thanks,

Keith

Good Find on the Intuit settlement. A remaining concern of mine has to do with the mass reluctance to use EBPP. Reluctance seems to center around control and security. People are not reluctant to use checks or charge cards. When it is repeatedly pointed out that Checks and cards are not all that secure, they start considering the idea of EBPP. I think portal promotions should highlight these issues as well as time and cost savings. For example laser copying of checks and transposing signatures has become a major problem with personal and business checks at banks. Checkfree can prevent this and other such security problems
