P., I'm also not especially thrilled. What did happen to the more in tune with the internet? That appears to have been a good sound bite but not to have played a role in the choice. He also doesn't sound like the kind of fellow with vision. He's likely a good technocrat but I wonder if this is what Wind needs. It would be interesting to know who else was on the short list and whether more interesting CEOs were contacted but declined. Rich

Prognasticator and Rich; did you short this company or sell calls....i havent read a post from either of you, so why the negative responses out of the blue without any real facts supporting your negatisms... this St. brings some resume and major contacts.. AMAT is a major supplier in the chain and a class act of a company, and when someone has a book of 1.5 BILLION in sales, i would think that i would give him the benefit of the doubt and then some.... good luck to all go WIND pp
