TBF, Re: You probably have noted that that the year 2000 earnings projections by the 20 analysts included in the consensus estimate vary from negative to about $2.80/sh on the upside I recalled that these analysts also estimated AMD to make 4/sh for year 1999 back in 97/98 when they were projecting how great K6 would be. I am not saying AMD will not make that 2.8/sh though. Gary

In their minds I suspect its best to low ball estimates and be 'surprised' like everyone else. And I think we will be surprised, concerns of copper contamination notwithstanding. ted
