I would imagine that while one could be lured into a spell of homosexual behavior ... one can't be lured or herded into or out of one's basic sexual inclination. In poor societies I'm sure all but the staunchest homosexuals yielded to the economic necessity of having children the old-fashioned way. Which taboo do you mean - the one against incest or the one against cannibalism? A taboo against homosexuality is certainly not a universal feature - it is more of a Judeo-Christian specialty.
