>>How is JNI different from Gadzoox anybody know?

I only know these companies at buzzword level, but:

-They are both fibre-channel/Storage Area Network (SAN) plays.

-JNI (which is being spun out of Jaycorp, a San Diego defense contractor, if memory serves) gets most of its revenue from HBAs (host-bus adapters), which are cards which plug into motherboard slots on servers, etc. They come with platform-specific software, and are also, obviously, specific to the bus, e.g. Sun's Sbus or PCI.

-Gadzoox gets most of its revenues from fibre channel hubs. They recently introduced fibre channel switches.

Both companies offer SAN management software, as does Brocade, the hottest company in the space. Brocade gets most of its revenues from fibrechannel switches.

I like all three companies, but there is a lot of good news priced into BRCD and ZOOX, and I assume JNI will get a similarly eye-popping valuation when it comes public. (Or did I miss the IPO? )I have some ZOOX but it is strictly for a trade.
