'Thanks, Much obliged' says the Indian Army & Air Force

JPR:
Very interesting...I hear Indian Army is just one among many organizations (News media etc) who have received voluntary contributions from the public from home and abroad.
============================
"The Indian Army wishes to inform all those contributors whose names have not figured in the list so far to kindly bear with us as we have been simply flooded with contributions and as of 30 august 1999 there are over 86,000 (Eighty Six Thousand) names waiting to be published, with more contributions still pouring in.Receipts are being forwarded seperately courtesy Overnite Express courier services free of charge."

'Indian Army Thanks it's Supporters'

Operation Vijay displayed the strength, the resolve, and the solidarity of Indians. The Indian Army could not have accomplished its mission in evicting the Pakistani Army intruders without the encouragement and support of our countrymen including Non Resident Indians. We are also grateful to all for the contributions being made to the Army Central Welfare Fund. Over the last three months we have received hundreds of e-mails. We have attempted to reply back to as many as possible, yet a lot of replies are still pending. We look forward to this lasting bond that has formed between the Indian Armed Forces and our friends, countrymen and the non-resident Indians. Do continue to keep sending in your suggestions, support and well wishes.
