Qualcomm already has a European partner for Omnitracs for trucks. I believe it is Alcatel.

Re : Ericsson getting a start in auto dashboard wireless communications stuff.

Since the trend lately has been everyone is getting rid of their car to buy an "SUV", maybe by the time this car communications thing is a reality, we will all have moved up to driving 18-wheelers around.

Qualcomm already has that market with their OmniTRACS products.
