June 99. Since I wasn't member of SI in June, I reported my results on YAHOO board but I looked tonight and that msg is long gone off YAHOO server.
At the API booth, they had demo unit running @ 1000 MHz. Since API is a fairly new company, their booth was in basement of Javits Center with all the local clone vendors and had very few visitors. I spent significant time with them discussing RDRAM pros and cons specifically. The attitude was definitely anything but RDRAM. I can remember the discussions of 64 bit DDR @ 200 MHz vs 16 bit RDRAM @ 800 MHz. That is where I became aware of granularity issues of 64 bit memory addressing schemes.
