Every rally attempt after the SPO announcement has failed. Doesn't look good going into the floodgates opening ceremony. I wonder if some people were mistaken by the "proposed maximum offering price" in the S-1/A filed yesterday, thinking it's the actual pricing (It's just the average stock price on Aug 31, used solely for the purpose of estimating the registration fee).

3 weeks to go, chances are good the secondary will be priced around 140.

Regards,

Tom

Thanks for the link to the article. The part I find astonishing, given Juniper's market cap, is that their product is not proven yet:

UUNET not will be cutting off its Fore Systems ASX 1000 ATM switches that primarily make up the core of its network, Boyne says. But instead, UUNET will run parallel networks until the Juniper routers are proven. By early 2000, UUNET will most likely move to an all IP over MPLS over Sonet network.

Wizard,
I'd tend to discount what UUNET scientists have to say about Juniper's M40 router. Because UUNET owns a bunch of Juniper stock, they have a good reason to only say good things about Juniper's products. They are not an unbiased source of information because of their ownership interest.
