dan,

Re:"Could Intel do this right after they told everyone at IDF that there would be no PC133 support (except for MTH) till Q1 of 2000 a week or so ago?"

My suspicion is that this will be a last minute descision.

If enough DRDRAM is available then they may well delay the PC133 a couple of months.

But if yields/volumes on DRDRAM are poor and their is a supply mismatch then i expect them to pull out the PC133.

Just my thoughts.

Just because Intel is manufacturing PC133 MB's may not mean diddly for Q4.

I just wish everybody was being more open about all this crap frankly.

It'll be us small investors who get screwed either way.

regards,

Kash

The Register does really say that this mobo doesn't use MTH. I think it may.

Dan3, MTH (Memory Translator Hub)doesn't support PC133, it only supports PC100 - I'm positive about this because I held the motherboard in my hands while talking to the Intel people.

Secondly, I seriously, seriously doubt that McWilliams from Intel would have said we'll see some chipset support from Intel for PC133 "in the first half of next year" if he didn't mean it.

Screw The Register!

Doug
