ALOY, A sleeper could awaken on earnings report. A Gen X site. I read where Gen X ers are major web spenders.

The loss was less than expected, but the stats were what caught my eye:

For the three month period ended July 31, 1999, Alloy's registered online user base continued to rise, reaching 850,000 registrants versus 570,000 at April 30, 1999 and 300,000 registrants at January 31, 1999. According to Media Metrix, Alloy's unique visitors in July reached 415,000, up 58% from 263,000 in April. Alloy's database of Generation Y boys and girls grew to 2.6 million at the end of the second quarter, primarily driven by traffic on Alloy's web site.

Let's watch and see if any volume comes in on the earnings surprise and these very impressive growth numbers.

Fred

Good point and it is the thing that I learned the hard way. I bought SATH at 17 1/4 when they announced the "major news in 10 days" crap early this year. I took it all the way up to 30+ waiting for the HUGE news...

The news was of course crap and all the insiders dumped thier shares and I finally got a fill at 13.

Moral, Do not get too greedy. There are 60 new issues to trade this month alone. I tend to leave the dance too soon but I am still dancing.. Kind of the designated driver of IPO traders. Caution has made my $$ grow slower but steady.
