I was speaking of the difference between being a defensive trader in a terrible BB market & being an offensive trader in a money making environment. I think (hope) that that money making environment is coming back to us rather quickly.

here's what I think... when the market is full of capital trying to find a place to go the momentum builds and builds, and pretty soon you have skyrockets going off all over the place with the light of a match.. we have had several momentum periods like that particularly last fall (thanksgiving), january and into april... and usually when they all start going at once, a correction is right around the corner in momentum periods it becomes a matter of trying to manage your gains as best as possible so your capital is in the best places making the most it can.. but when capital is leaving the market, or a sector, the opposite occurs.. and people take profits as quickly as possible to protect the gains or take losses early to prevent bigger losses.. with the BBs we have seen them go from '3 -day' wonders to 1.25 day wonders to selling on news to now sometimes selling well in advance of news.. with mms taking advantage of every fear.. just a matter of how much capital there is seeking a place to go.. another issue is now there are many more internet issues in particular competing for attention and the same investor dollars spreading thin, over many issues.. meanwhile, I watch, & trade carefully so that when the next major momentum period erupts I'm there and ready all just my opinion
