Mad2, in principle i agree with what you say...however, we are in the late stages of the biggest stock market mania of all time, which basically means that fundamentals don't count for anything right now. it's simply a complete reality disconnect that is taking place here. that's the reason why i expect a blow-off...the speculators are correctly betting that the Fed will not dare to pop the bubble for fear of inducing a crash. thus they laugh the Fed's halfhearted attempts at talking the market down off and will drive prices higher in one last manic thrust. thereafter i'd expect to see the biggest crash EVER. i concede however that the mania hangs by a thread - meaning that we may get a decline anytime if some exogenous shock upsets the apple cart.
