John, I think I'd be a fool to sell my Intel shares and pay taxes on the gains when I think it's going to continue its 28 year uptrend. There will be downturns along the way, but who knows when and how much? How would I know when to get back in? Some positives that somehow tell me to not sell Intel:

1. The semiconductor sector is considered to be just in the first year of a 3 or 4 year uptrend cycle.

2. Rumors of Intel preannouncing a stronger than expected 3Q.

3. Sensational new product lineup coming out between Oct. 99 and mid 2000.

4. Practically no competition in end to end product execution, i.e., from customer requirements identification, to architecture and design, to process and manufacturing engineering, to marketing and sales and customer service. Oh, can't forget quality and reliability.

I could go on, but that's enough for now.

So John, do what you want with Intel shares. You have zero, make that negative, as in contrarian, influence on me.

Tony
