Just speculation on the usual market reaction. BRCD came up in the conference call. DELL said that they will continue to use BRCD technology -but as I understand the Convergenet technology, it is BRCD + x. This is a layman's interpretation. In any case market likes to shoot high fliers when there is even a remote possibility of competition chnages. e.g. Believe DELL MSFT and INTC were hit today to some extent on the new Sun product - perhaps as well as interest rate worries. Would be interested in any expert analysis into the parallels and differences between the BRCD and Convergenet technologies.
