Caxton,
That has happened to me twice. I placed my order with Datek and didn't get a confirm. Thinking I hit cancel instead of place order I entered the order again a few minutes later. Within 30 seconds Datek confirmed both orders so twice as much. Next thing I know a message comes from Datek telling me they again doubled the amount of shares in my account, this time the price was cut in half. Whats going on here? The odd thing is when a calculation is done on average cost and current price it appears as though a profit the size of a Lincoln Navigator is in the account. I understand your problem but I don't have the answer, this may require the services of a broker. Do you know anyone?
