Thanks Richard for the posting. So, FCM's article or comments refer to "choose to Schmooze" technology only and is two paragraphs long or did you just post a small segment? Wonder if its on the web, I will check.

Thanks
Mike

I made an oversight as to who the players are in this article.

At the end of the second to last paragraph, Clarent Corp was the last ad at the end of the article. In order of appearance in the article; Sun, Franklin, Teligent, Lucent and Clarent.

On another note, the end of the article shows a box with all the companies web sites and 8oo numbers listed, it is in alpha order. Franklin in second spot.

The article was written by Christine Perry, (cperey@perey.com), president of PEREY Research & Consulting (http://www.perey.com) and senior industry analyst with Forward Concepts (http://www.forwardconcepts.com).

The article has three sections, the opening (USAT is mentioned in this section with their one-price long distance service plans for residences and commercial). Selecting A Communications Service Provider is section two, and the third is titled, New Communications Infrastructures: Frame Relay, Asynchronous Transfer Mode, and Internet Protocol.

The article graphs the growth of each of these items: it concludes that ATM and Frame Relay switches will remain basically stagnant, while routing & switching equipment grows from $4+ billion this year to over $7+ billion in 2002.

One last item, contact Randi Bergman at fax 212-522-0999 or email randi_bergman@timeinc.com for reprints of 100 or more.

HTH, Rick
