Unify expands Linux pact with Red Hat
SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept 9 (Reuters) - Electronic commerce software maker Unify Corp. on Thursday said it is extending a pact with Red Hat Inc (Nasdaq:RHAT - news) by certifying two new Internet products to run on Red Hat's latest distribution of Linux.

In a statement, the company said Red Hat will have certified Unify WebNow!, software for creating dynamic Web pages that gives Web access to databases, by the end of September. Unify eWave Engine, the company's Java software-based application server, is scheduled to follow.

In May 1999, Unify and Red Hat announced a strategic partnership to collaborate on products and to co-market those offerings.

With Unify eWave Engine and Unify WebNow! available on Linux, Unify completes its entire product portfolio for the Linux operating system, including the Unify VISION and Unify DataServer families, the company said.
