he delivered is pork. As CM he can afford to do that.
Ordinary MPs and MLAs cannot.
As the Americans would say Pork Barrel.
But if a politician delivers PORK BARREL to his Muslim constituents as in Naidu's case, would the Muslims consider that as blasphemous and refuse to accept the PORK BARREL. Hello there dear Muslims, Are U offended! OK, Pork Barrel should be changed to Beef Barrel. OK,OK U Hindus, U are offended by the mention of Beef. Can we call it PICKLE BARREL. Now everybody of every shade is happy. But the meaning and spirit is lost. And go and suck on the pickle.

What he has done is no different from what Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi did -- according a VVIP status to their "home" constituency and treating it lavishly with development programs, public-sector units and so on, so as to create a "safe seat" for themselves.
